About Altius et Latius Trust

We aim to provide a sustainable solution for funding education for previously disadvantaged learners, moving away from solely relying on donations. 

The Amendment published in May 2019 to the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act of 2003 provides the legislative framework for the Trust to receive money and allocate it to pay bursaries for black learners. The Trust is a registered Public Benefit Organisation so any monies paid are tax deductible and a Section 18A certificate will be provided.

The key to this solution lies with companies seeking BBBEE ratings and already investing in skills development or socio-economic development initiatives.
