A recent Rustenburg Girls’ alumnae, Kelly Johnson, is making waves in collegiate hockey at Adelphi University. Known for her dedication and passion for the sport, Kelly’s journey from South Africa to Adelphi is marked by impressive achievements.
Kelly’s hockey career began with representing South Africa on the National High-Performance U16 Team and playing for the Western Province U16A and U18 Teams. In 2022, she joined St. Thomas Aquinas and was noticed by scouts and coaches that led her to Adelphi University.
At Adelphi, Kelly quickly made an impact, participating in 18 out of 19 games in her debut season. Her versatility on the field was evident as she contributed both offensively and defensively and achieved two goals and two assists. Her academic achievements also shone, earning her a spot on the NE10 Academic Honor Roll.
With her unwavering passion and commitment to excellence, Kelly Johnson is destined for greatness in the world of collegiate hockey.
