On the 13th of February, the five houses took the stage for the Interhouse Talent Show, bringing fierce competition and incredible performances. The judges were blown away by the diverse talent on display, and once again, Rustenburg did not disappoint!
Amongst the judges was E00 Tracy Malamoglou, who shared: “Honoured to be one of the judges for this event! So impressed by the talent shown at the talent show. My first impression was ‘Finally, something I can contribute to the school since leaving.’ I used to be a professional dancer and did cruise ships and corporate events until I started my own events company. I have done entertainment for the Lories, J&B Met, Kirstenbosch, and many others. But I was blown away by the talent that the learners showed.”
E17 Jasmine Minter was a returning judge from last year and once again brought enthusiasm to the event. After Rustenburg, she delved into the world of performing arts at the Luitingh Alexander Musical Theatre Academy (LAMTA). Her talent shone brightly in various productions, from the national tour of “Come Together” to her standout role as “Cherry” in the Australian comedic play”Cosi”.
On the panel was RGJS Music Teacher Leah Adams, A performing artist, vocal, piano, and choir trainer, and devoted advocate for music education. Currently a Junior School Music Specialist at Rustenburg Girls’, Leah’s unique approach to teaching integrates music and technology, ensuring her learners have a memorable and unique learning experience.
